The Serbs defeated Israel 89:78 and won the fourth game. The team around Nikola Jokic, who was the best scorer of the match with 20 points, also kept the Czech team’s hope for advancement. In the event of Israel’s victory, the home team would no longer have a chance to participate in the playoffs.

In Group A, the Turks secured their promotion first after a 78:63 win over Belgium, who could not repeat the performance from the winning match against Spain and have yet to experience the joy of promotion. Immediately afterwards, the Spanish world champions also advanced to the playoffs, after a previous unexpected defeat, they sealed their progress with an 82:65 victory over Černá Hora.

In Group B, the Lithuanians kept their hope. They celebrated their first win against Hungary (87:64), the star duo of Joans Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis contributed 40 points (21 and 19) and 16 rebounds (8 and 8). The home Germans, on the other hand, lost their invincibility in the duel with the defending champions, the Slovenians. The reigning champions won 88:80 in a duel between already qualified opponents, Luka Dončič contributed 25 points and eight rebounds.

With 41 points, Janis Adetokunbo was the architect of Greece’s victory over Ukraine (99:79) in a duel between undefeated and already qualified teams in Group C. The owner of two MVP awards for the most valuable player of the NBA helped himself to the best shooting performance of the tournament with fifteen converted sixes and added and nine rebounds.
