The Czech footballers’ match with Portugal in the League of Nations is already sold out

There is a lot of interest in the match against Portugal with star gunner Cristiano Ronaldo and it was almost sold out from the initial pre-sale stage. The remaining roughly 400 tickets with reduced visibility were sold during Wednesday. The capacity of the stadium in Eden for football matches is 19,370 seats, so far not only the sector for visiting fans is sold out. The match will take place on September 24.

“We have a very difficult but also attractive match ahead of us. The fact that the match is sold out so long in advance speaks for itself. We are very grateful to the fans for their interest and we are all looking forward to the match. Staying among the best in the Nations League would be for us a great success, for which every member of the team will give their best,” said national team coach Jaroslav Šilhavý.

His charges will finish their appearance in the elite group A2 of the League of Nations in September. First, they will welcome Portugal next Saturday, and three days later they will present themselves in Switzerland. After four rounds, the representatives are in third place in the table with a one-point lead over last-place Switzerland. The worst team in the group will be relegated to level B. The Czechs lost 0:2 in the opening match against Portugal.

In the first wave, FAČR sold packages for all three home matches of the League of Nations. In June, coach Jaroslav Šilhavý’s wards welcomed Switzerland and then Spain in Eden. While over 18,000 spectators arrived for the second match and it was almost sold out, over 12,000 people watched the match against the Swiss.
