In connection with the UFC 279 tournament, of course, Khamzat Chimaev was the most discussed, who caused several unnecessary disputes and then mainly did not meet the weight limit, due to which the entire top of the main card had to be redone, which we have not seen in a long time, if ever. A number of personalities have commented on the topic, including former lightweight champion and undefeated fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who let it be known that it is a big mistake that Chimaev does not have Muslims around him, because otherwise everything would be fine. Vlk’s team now answered very aptly and offered an interesting reaction.

“If you are a Muslim, you should be surrounded by good and like-minded people. A Muslim would tell him what he should and shouldn’t do. Of course I watched his weighting and limit issues. I focused on him, but also on his entire team. Thanks to this, I found out that there was no Muslim with him, which is a very big mistake. If someone is a Muslim, he must have strong and good people around him. They would clearly tell him how to behave and what to do and not to do,” Khabib Nurmagomedov let himself be heard, offering a very peculiar opinion on the whole situation.

Of course, the reaction did not take long. Dear Khabib, my Muslim brother. First, I would like to say that I have the utmost respect for you as an athlete and for all of your accomplishments in our beloved sport of MMA. I am also very proud of how you represent our religion, faith and God in all your interviews and appearances.

However, I would like to express my opinion on your reaction that Khamzat did not have a Muslim team around him and that should be the reason why he did not actually meet the weight. I have to disagree with you on this part. Khamzat had Muslim friends and teammates like me around him from day one. However, people from many other religions and backgrounds also move around it. These are the people who were with him from the beginning, gave him love, shared blood, sweat and joy and did everything to get him to where he is now.

Being a Muslim does not mean we are perfect and flawless, trust me I have made many mistakes in my life as many people know. With all due respect to you, you’ve made mistakes too. So I have to disagree with the mention that having a Muslim team makes you perfect. Because it’s about having a team around you that cares about you in good times and bad, regardless of their faith or religion. This is much more important. And that’s something Khamzat has.

There are a few issues that kept Khamzat from making weight, but those reasons remain with the team. However, he is still young and will learn from his mistakes. If a champion as great as you learned from your mistakes when you failed to meet the weight, I have no doubt that our brother Khamzat will as well,” responded Khamzat’s friend and teammate Reza Madadi, who thus offered a respectful but at the same time apt response.

Orel presented the whole thing as if the Muslim team was a guarantee of perfection, while he himself often struggled with weight or completely got out of the role when he jumped into the Irish corner after his win over Conor McGregor, starting a wild brawl.
