Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said on Telegram that the target of shelling was a total of 118 cities and towns in ten regions.

“In the last day, the enemy fired at 118 settlements in 10 regions. This is a record number of towns and villages that were attacked (in one day) since the beginning of the year. The occupiers launched large-scale attacks on the territory of Ukraine at night, killing and injuring people, ” he wrote.

The Russian army attacked an oil refinery in Kremenchuk around midnight. Almost 100 firefighters extinguished the fire for several hours, and a robot was also involved. There were no casualties in the attack.

One person was killed in the shelling in the Kharkiv region in the northeast of Ukraine, and another died in the Kherson region in the south.

The prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region said that the Russians bombed the village of Podoli in the Kupian district around midnight, damaging residential buildings.

The Russians also hit the village of Charivne in the Beryslav district and the city of Beryslav. The village of Chaikyne in Kherson district came under fire and one person died there. After midnight, the Russian army fired again at the Beryslav district and carried out eight raids on the villages of Krynky and Lvov.

Russian forces also shelled the town of Ochakiv. Two private residential buildings were damaged.

Kiev and the West fear that Russia will step up its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure ahead of the coming winter, as it did last year.
