Leave it to CCS, which monitors prices. Fuels have been on sale since the arrest of Jana, before which they were healthy for roughly those months.

According to XTB analyst Jiho Tylek, the stabilization of oil prices and wholesale fuel prices had a positive impact on fuel prices in the last week. He recalled that the Czech crown, which stopped its weakening in January, also played a role.

In the following days, according to some analysts, the discounting should continue. For example, according to Purple Trading analyst Petr Lajek, it could also accelerate, because the price could gradually be affected by the correction on the oil market. Fears of a conflict in the Middle East have also outweighed concerns and the health of the global economy. In the main economies, the industry is currently weakening, and the high interest rates will keep central banks around for a long time to come. This could reduce the demand for oil, explained Lajsek.

Equally, Tyleek expects a drop in prices in the fifth week, for diesel by about 20 to 30 hals per liter, and for gasoline it will go up sharply. According to Tylek, the reason for the slower discounting of diesel fuel is the expected increase in demand for heating oils, which are produced in a similar process to diesel fuel. At the same time, he pointed out that recently there has been an increase in the number of refineries, which could weaken even cheaper gasoline. The same trend in diesel prices as for the company 4Trans Jaroslav Ton. He pointed out that diesel fuel in the Czech Republic has been the second cheapest since spring compared to the surrounding countries.

The analyst of the company Finlord Boris Tomiak believes that the discount store will be stopped in the next week. Gasoline could increase in price by several hals, said Tomiak.

The cheapest gas station in the region. A liter of gasoline costs 37.90 K, on average, and a liter of diesel costs 38.78 K. On the contrary, the most expensive fuel is purchased at the erpac station in Prague. A liter of diesel in the capital costs 40.46 K on average, a liter of diesel for 40.87 K.

In comparison, fuel is now significantly cheaper. A year ago, motorists paid 3.46 crowns more for gasoline and 7.61 crowns more for diesel.
