The Nashville Predators are in the Pacific Northwest on Thursday to face the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena.
Nashville (4-5-0) started its five-game road trip with a 5-2 loss at Vancouver, with Elias Pettersson scoring a hat trick. Kevin Lankinen made his first start of the season and saved 22 of 26 shots.
Seattle (3-5-2) has struggled to get going, with a minus-10 goal differential (24 goals for, 34 goals against), although it did win 4-3 at Tampa Bay on Monday.
Nashville and Seattle have already faced each other this year, and the Predators won 3-0 in the home opener.

First period
Tommy Novak has his fifth goal of the season on the first period power play, with assists from Colton Sissons and Luke Evangelista. Sissons had just skated out of the penalty box after serving his own penalty.
Gus Nyquist went down the tunnel earlier in the period after absorbing a high stick by Adam Larsson, setting up a Predators 5-on-3 that was neutralized by that Sissons penalty. Larsson was assessed a double minor on the play.
But Novak gets the power-play goal moments later. He’s had a strong start to the season.
