
The current war conflict in the Middle East and the related wave of anti-Semitism that has hit Germany is shaking the whole country.
The situation presents major dilemmas in particular for the ruling Green party. It forces her to think about the current attitude towards migration. Demonstrations in a number of German cities, whose participants verbally attacked Israel and, on the other hand, glorified Hamas terrorists, saw a large part of the descendants of migrants from Muslim countries who came to Germany in the past decades. For a long time, the Greens turned a blind eye to the fact that not all refugees who settled in the country also identified with its value system.
