Cycle: Touching the light

Program name: A good death

Section Name: Mourning (final part)

Part: 10th part (episode 10/10)

Throughout our cycle, we have tried to reach out to those who are dealing with a diagnosis of an incurable disease and are looking for help in their difficult situation. In the last part, however, we want to talk to the survivors. When a loved one dies, it hurts a lot. Today, we have a number of means to dampen or even suppress this pain. On the other hand, some don’t suffer as much. They look calm, they don’t cry and they can laugh. Christians then seek to grasp the joy of the closeness to Jesus that the deceased achieved and the ever-returning pain of his distance. We have created a social chaos where we often resign ourselves to the ritual of burial, many dead end up anonymously in landfills, survivors do not want to feel pain or, on the contrary, are unable to overcome pain and return to life. Our guest will try to explain when grief is just a burden and what is actually “normal” in mourning.

Touching the light – we bring suggestions for deepening the life of faith on Saturday from 8.15 pm (repeat Sunday 4.55 pm).
