Real Madrid star Bellingham has become the best-selling player in Europe’s jerseys for the past month, a considerable achievement that underlines his growing popularity. The young midfielder became the most expensive British player of all time in the summer.
Following his staggering £115m move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Since then, he has been shining on the football pitch, scoring an impressive 13 goals and providing three assists in 13 games in all competitions.
Jude Bellingham recently received the Kopa trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, marking him as the best young player of the year. His rapid rise in career is now supported by great jersey sales. According to Fanatics, Bellingham was the most in-demand player in Europe in October, and that includes the unexpected Manchester United player.
The second place in this ranking was taken by Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland, who helped the team to the amazing Treble last season. He also managed to score 13 goals and three assists in 16 matches. Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé came in third, although his contract with the club expires in June and indications point to a move to Real Madrid, where he could link up with Bellingham.
The list of best-selling jerseys continues with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, who, despite a slow start to the season, excelled last year with 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 games. In fifth place we find Son Heung-min from Tottenham, who scored eight goals in 11 games this season. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah took sixth place, although there is speculation about his possible move to Saudi Arabia. Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne finished seventh, a testament to how much fans are anticipating his return from a hamstring injury.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of this ranking is the eighth place occupied by Manchester United player Alejandro Garnacho. Although he has yet to score in the Premier League or Champions League this season, Garnacho is seen as a future star and fans have great faith in his potential.
In ninth and tenth place, we find players like Bukayo Saka from Arsenal and Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid. This ranking proves that football popularity depends not only on the performances on the field, but also on the strength of the player’s personality and his connection with the fans. So Jude Bellingham has become a star not only on the field, but also off it, including jersey sales, where he leads in Europe.
