Russian journalist and propagandist Anton Krasovsky openly endorsed Russian imperialism. Again he repeated his claims that Ukraine does not exist.
When asked by the moderator whether Russia should be an empire, Krasovsky said that it already is.
“I think we live in the Russian Empire, at least I hope so. Yes, I am an imperialist in general, and I consider people who fight against Russian imperialism to be enemies of Russia,” the journalist said.
He further described his version of what is happening now during the war with Ukraine. According to him, it’s just a war between empires, and Ukraine plays only a marginal role in it.
“Roughly speaking, the war has nothing to do with it. That is, it’s like a story about our relationship between the Russian Empire and the British Empire that has moved and is in the United States. But it’s still the British Empire. They are English speaking people living under common law. They moved from Rome to Constantinople, so to speak. They moved from London to Washington. This is our history, the relationship between empires. As for Ukraine, like any normal Russian, I think there is no Ukraine and it’s all the Russian Empire. I also consider Warsaw a Russian city, just like Stalin… so does Helsinki,” said Krasovskij.
The propagandist is known for his radical statements. After rocket strikes in Vinnytsia in July 2022 that killed 23 people, including three children, Krasovsky declared that “Vinnytsia is not enough” and expressed hope for a “final solution” (…) “real, military”.
In August 2022, he declared that “Ukrainians should not exist at all” and therefore the Ukrainian language should be banned. On October 10, 2022, following rocket strikes across Ukraine that left 14 dead, Krasovsky shared a video of himself dancing on a balcony wearing a Z cap, explaining: “To say I’m happy is to say nothing at all. I’m just dancing on the balcony in my Russian army pyjamas.’
