The Ukrainian side published a video that clearly documents that even with minimal costs, the maximum effect can be achieved. The kamikaze drone, whose production cost is in the lower hundreds of dollars, destroyed equipment worth twenty-five million dollars.

The video clearly shows footage from the suicide drone camera of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade heading towards the Russian TOR missile system. An explosion follows the hit and the missile system consumes the fire.

However, the most interesting thing about the whole event is the comparison of the value of the two weapons that “met” in the video. While the production of one kamikaze drone costs approximately $500, according to experts, the cost of a destroyed TOR system is $25 million, i.e. fifty thousand times more.

As gagadget.com notes, the video was published by Ukrainian blogger Serhiy Sternenko, who in addition purchased 14,000 of these drones for the needs of the Ukrainian army. The value of the destroyed Russian system is thus approximately four times higher than the price of all purchased drones.

And why is it important for Ukraine that the Russian missile system was finally put out of action? The TOR system is a surface-to-air missile system with a short to medium range. It was originally intended primarily to protect important buildings and military posts from aerial threats, as it can successfully destroy both helicopters and missiles with a flat flight path. However, Putin’s army also used the system to destroy ground targets, including many civilian ones.

The system is able to detect targets even while driving, however, it must stop when launching missiles. Thanks to the radar, it is able to identify 48 targets and actively track the flight path of up to ten of them.
