The average price of diesel in the Czech Republic fell by ten hals in the last week to 39.31 crowns per liter. Leave it to CCS, which monitors prices. According to analysts, the discounting of gasoline and diesel should continue in the following days.
According to Purple Trading analyst Petr Lajsko, fuel prices have been affected in recent days by the continued drop in the price of oil on the market. The price drop that fell on oil prices after the outbreak of the conflict in the Black Sea has faded. The current price of Brent oil is even below the level before the arrest of the wolf, said Lajsek. According to him, the main reason behind its discount is the growing concern about the health of the global economy. In Esk, the development of the crown had a negative effect.
The situation on the market, according to analysts, was recorded by other fuel discounters. In the next week we will give a discount. Gasoline prices should drop by about 50 hals, said Finlord manager Boris Tomiak. He pointed out that in the past few days, European wholesale prices for gasoline have fallen, but on the contrary, they have risen slightly for diesel.
According to XTB analyst Jiho Tylek, fuel prices could drop to August levels if the fall in crude oil from the last few days continues. That means between 37 and 38 crowns per liter of diesel and gasoline, said Tyleek. According to him, the development on the market indicates a rapid decline in gasoline, while the heat, on the other hand, is driving down the price of diesel.
With the continued discounting, Lajsek too, according to him, cheaper oil should have a longer effect on prices. The average price of diesel and gasoline could thus fall below 38 K per liter, confirmed Lajsek. However, he also warned that an escalation of the conflict could lead to a reversal of the downward trend in oil prices, and thus fuel prices.
