Members of the State Agricultural and Food Inspection (SZPI) witnessed a disgusting sight when they visited a Brno retail food store. They visited the east of Brno in the Líšeň district, where the local store Kolejka Thi Tram Vo runs. When the grocers entered the business, they saw dead mice on the ground, and the grocers immediately closed the shop.
Employees of the state organization came for an inspection at the beginning of the week. Immediately upon arrival, the establishment on Charles Square did not appear to them. The atmosphere of the company was completed by the omnipresent disorder and a suspicious smell, which immediately kicked the inspectors in the nose. The inspectors’ trained sense of smell recognized the familiar smell of mice. Soon the food workers discovered rodent feces, the body of a dead rat, and that was far from all.
“At the time of the inspection, the establishment was not properly secured against the entry of pests, who could get in through the damaged walls. Inside, our inspectors encountered the appearance of mouse droppings in the warehouse, as well as the body of a dead rodent, the remains of worm bodies and the bodies of dead insects on the sales floor. described in the final report by SZPI staff.
Another ailment was the fact that the trader was piling up objects that had no business being there among the food. Therefore, the inspectors did not hesitate for a long time with the verdict. They gave the owner an immediate stoppage of business until he cleans up properly. “In view of the hygiene deficiencies, we imposed a complete ban on the use of the premises to the inspected person,” the food workers added.
