“Veterans Day is not only an opportunity to remember the heroes of the First and Second World Wars, but also those of today. They participate, just like those before, in the struggles so that we can live in freedom, peace and security. It is therefore an honor for me to continue this tradition and to thank the nominated veterans at least symbolically by handing over a commemorative medal,” said Governor Rudolf Špoták.
