Slovakia was shaken by the death of a young mother and her one-year-old girl. Their bodies were discovered on Wednesday evening in the village of Veľký Lom in the south of Slovakia. Neighbors have now described the terrifying circumstances surrounding the tragic death. Some of the details are chilling.
A family tragedy in the Veľký Krtíš district shook the whole of Slovakia. They found the body of a twenty-four-year-old woman in the barn, and her one-year-old girl in the house. Neighbors described to Markíza TV how the terrifying discovery happened.
The gate and the door to the house were said to be open and the neighbors entered. But they had no idea that the sight they would see in a little while would probably never be erased from their memory. The girl’s lifeless body was lying on the couch. She said she had a bag on her head tied with a belt.
The girl’s mother was then found in the barn. There, the young mother Viktoria was supposed to hang herself. According to neighbors, she took her own life in the same place where her husband killed himself a few months ago. The death of her husband could be the reason why she also resorted to suicide.
She should have constantly professed her love for him on social networks even after his departure, Topky daily wrote. She is said to have hinted at her plans in some posts. “It won’t be long…tick,” she wrote in early November. She took her own life a week later.
“She was probably experiencing extreme emotions and these provoked a state where a person loses logical judgment and is driven by very strong emotions,” explained psychiatrist Zdenka Kubišová. According to local residents, it was not a family conflict. Neighbors cannot explain why the situation had to go so far.
