Already on December 5 at 10 a.m., an auction of the cultural monument of the so-called Robber’s Bridge on the former imperial road, now near the TKO landfill, will take place on the portal www.nabidkamajetku.cz.
Long legal disputes about ownership between the City of Velké Meziříčí and the Office for State Representation in Property Matters and the Municipality of Petráveč resulted in a judgment that decided in March 2015 that the bridge definitely belongs to the state.
The current technical condition of the bridge is not in good condition for a long time. The bridge is thus included among the endangered monuments of the region. At the initiative of the NPÚ, proceedings are currently underway to order measures that the owner is obliged to take to prevent further damage to it. Construction material has been released from the historic bridge for a long time and without immediate action there is a risk of its permanent damage or complete collapse. Because of this, barriers were placed around the structure and also provided with covering foils against leakage.
In March 2023, the state offered it to the Vysočina Region, the regional representatives unequivocally rejected the transfer. Now the bridge with the land is for sale. The lowest bid is 2,280,000 crowns and the minimum bid is 5,000 crowns. The conditions of the auction are here: aukcni-vyhlaska.pdf.
Part of the auction is also the land lot no. 581 with an area of 12,029 m2. It is the route of the former imperial road from the intersection II/602 to the High Bridge.
