The new Škoda Superb had its world premiere last week, the second generation Kodiaq in October. Now Škoda Auto has published their prices. And both models are launched on the market with a two-liter diesel engine and a price tag exceeding one million crowns.
What Škoda Auto is keeping secret for now is the base price of the cheapest Škoda Superb in the liftback version, whose ending version in the basic Style version, according to the automaker’s configurator, will cost 880,900 crowns. Since it can be expected that even in its case the basic equipment will be richer, the price of the fourth generation will probably jump over the nine hundred thousand crowns mark.
The Superb is the flagship of the portfolio of models with internal combustion engines, while the Kodiaq is the Škoda SUV. Both essential models were introduced in new generations and both enter the market at the same time.
The first variant of the Superb to go on sale is a station wagon with a 2.0 TDI 110 kW engine and DSG automatic transmission, the manual will no longer be available.
On the Czech market, this combination will be available in two trim levels at prices starting at 1,035,000 crowns, i.e. slightly more expensive than the previous third generation.
“All authorized dealers of the Škoda brand in the Czech Republic are starting to accept orders,” the automaker announced.

Additional power units, as well as a slightly cheaper liftback version, will expand the range only in the course of next year. The first cars will be available to customers in the second quarter of 2024.
Currently, the Škoda Superb Combi is available with a 2.0 TDI 110 kW unit, which is connected to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard. Its torque peaks at 360 Nm at 1600-2750 rpm.
Although the basic version of the Selection is more expensive, it has richer standard equipment – many items have been added to it between generations, for example parking sensors in the front and rear, a parking camera, cruise control with an intelligent speed limiter or comfortable front seats with partially electric adjustment.

The price for the diesel engine in this trim starts at 1,035,000 crowns, seven thousand more than the third generation.
The top Laurin&Klement version then adds, for example, a massage function for the front seats with ten airbags, an electrically controlled roller shutter cover for the estate, assisted driving with a stored parking maneuver or ambient interior lighting with an RGB module.
In L&K equipment, the Superb is available for 1,235,000 crowns, 52,000 more than the previous generation.
From the beginning, customers can choose from a complete range of eight body paints, six of which are completely new. The Selection grade gives you a choice of four interior designs, for Laurin&Klement you can choose from two color variants.
The new Kodiaq, which had its world premiere a little earlier, is entering the market together with the Superb. It is also available with a 2.0 TDI 110 kW engine, a seven-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
Prices start at 1,040,000 crowns, which is surprisingly less than fifteen thousand lower than the previous generation.
The basic equipment of the Selection includes, for example, LED headlights with high beam assistant, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assistant or hill start assistant.
