1. READING Wisdom 6:12-16
Wisdom is found by those who seek it.

Reading from the Book of Wisdom.
Wisdom shines and does not fade, is easily seen by those who love it, is found by those who seek it.
She precedes those who desire her and appears to them first. He who comes to her early will not tire of finding her sitting at his door.
For to think of her is supreme prudence, he who watches for her, soon has no worries.
After all, she herself goes around and looks for those who are worthy of her, she shows them favor on the way and meets them with every thought.

Žl 63 (62), 2.3-4.5-6.7-8 Answer: 2b
Answer: My soul thirsts for you, Lord, my God!

God, you are my God, I seek you diligently, my soul thirsts for you, my body thirsts for you, like a parched, thirsty, waterless land.
Ans.
So I long to see you in the sanctuary, to see your power and glory. For thy grace is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Ans.
So I will glorify you in my life, in your name I will lift up my hands in prayer. My soul will be satisfied like fat and turkey, with smacking lips the mouth will rejoice.
Ans.
Whenever I think of you in my bed, I will think of you in the night hours. For you have become my helper, and in the shadow of your wings I rejoice.
Ans.

2. READING 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
With Jesus, God will also bring those who die in connection with him.

Reading from the first letter of St. Paul the Apostle to the Thessalonians.
We do not wish to leave you, brethren, in ignorance of those who have already died. You must not grieve for them as others who have no hope. Since we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in union with him. We tell you this, as the Lord taught us about it: We the living, who will live to see the coming of the Lord, will not overtake those who will already be dead.
For when the command is given, when the archangel’s voice and God’s trumpet sound, the Lord himself will descend from heaven. The dead Christians will rise first, then we, who remain alive until that moment, will be caught up together with them in the clouds into the air to meet the Lord. And then we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore rejoice one another with these words.

GOSPEL Mt 25,1-13
The groom is here! Go meet him!

The words of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
Jesus told his disciples this parable:
“The kingdom of heaven is like ten virgins who took lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were prudent. The foolish took the lamps but did not take oil with them, but the prudent took oil in their vessels with the lamps. When the bridegroom he didn’t come, they all began to doze off and fell asleep.
In the middle of the night there was a cry: ‘The bridegroom is here! Go meet him!’ Here all the maidens stood up and began to adjust their lamps. The foolish begged the prudent: ‘Give us some oil, our lamps are going out.’ But the prudent ones answered: ‘We can’t, it wouldn’t be enough for us or you, you’d better go to the sellers and buy.’
But as soon as they went shopping, the bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding and the door was closed. Later the other virgins also came and cried, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered: ‘Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”
