The departure of former foreign minister Karel Schwarzenberg affected not only the political scene, but also other Czech personalities. Many people are convinced that this is an irreplaceable loss. For many, he was a symbol of democracy and the return of freedom.

His death shook TOP 09 members. Schwarzenberg founded the party together with Miroslav Kalousko in 2009. And it was he who also informed about his departure. “He was one of the most important and kindest people in my life. May he rest in peace. The Czech Republic should be grateful to him for everything he selflessly did for it,” he is convinced

“For me, he has always been a symbol of the return of freedom, democracy and other traditional European values ​​to our country. A great honor to his memory. His personality, ideas and incredible insight will be sorely missed,” the MEP is convinced (TOP 09).

According to Environment Minister Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL), Schwarzenberg shaped Czech society in its democratic development for more than 30 years with his life and public activities. “Although I didn’t always agree with him, I always respected him, because it is the battle of opinions and attitudes that builds civil society. Honor to his memory!” he wrote on the social network

“Karel Schwarzenberg has passed away, God bless him. One of the greatest statesmen and visionaries I have ever met in my life. He taught us that ‘one must help!’ A wise, kind, noble and perceptive person. He had a fulfilling life. May he rest in peace,” said the former Minister of Education (TENT).

Many are convinced that his loss is irreplaceable. “He served. Nobly. He will be missed. There is no one to take his place. Thank you. For every conversation that made me think and ask how I could be more useful. It was always worth listening to every word. A full life. A nobleman.” the STAN vice-chairman said of Schwarzenberg

“Sincere condolences on the passing of Karel Schwarzenberg. A Czech statesman and leader respected by the whole world. A truly honest and noble person,” said Matt Field, the British ambassador to the Czech Republic.

Other people also paid tribute to him. “Prince Karel Schwarzenberg will be missed in the Czech Republic. We don’t have many such personalities. I will miss him too. His outlook, knowledge of life and the art of enjoying it have always been inspiring. I am grateful that I could meet him. I liked him,” she said on nuclear expert Dana Drábová.
