On today’s State of Play, there was also a section dedicated to the Silent Hill series.
We were the first to see the announcement of a brand new game, which has been speculated about for quite some time. It is Silent Hill: The Short Message, in which we take on the role of Anita, who suddenly finds herself in a kind of corrupted reality where she is being chased by a terrifying monster. She will be accompanied by messages from her friend Maya, according to which she is supposed to find “something”, but she doesn’t know what exactly yet.
We learned more in an article on the PlayStation Blog. It says that it is an experimental project on which Konami collaborated with the HexaDrive studio. The developers wanted the game to highlight the problems faced by young people in today’s world.
The interesting thing is that it is a free-to-play title, which is also released today. However, you can only download it on PlayStation 5, it is not yet clear whether it will also look at other platforms.
In addition, we were also treated to a preview of the expected remake of the second part, which was already presented in autumn 2022. This time we were able to take a good look at the gameplay, especially the combat. Unfortunately, we still haven’t heard the release date, although it should be true that the game will arrive this year. Heading to PS5 and PC.
