The accident took place on náměstí Budovatelů street in Katusice on Thursday after seven o’clock in the morning. According to police spokeswoman Barbara Schneeweiss, the driver testified at the scene that she was blinded by an oncoming bus and missed the pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The police performed a breath test on the driver, which came out with a negative result. “So the probable cause of the traffic accident is the failure to give way to the pedestrian,” added Schneeweissová.
