This year, the Czech Republic will host the biathlon world championship. The championship races will start in Nové Město na Morava in less than a week. Who will represent the home team?

The nomination of the Czech national team was declassified this week. Among the women, Markéta Davidová, Lucie Charvátová, Jessica Jislová, Kristýna Otcovská and Tereza Voborníková will ride. Vítězslav Hornig, Michal Krčmář, Jonáš Mareček, Tomáš Mikyska and Jakub Štvrtecký will compete with men from other countries.

However, there is still one question mark, especially for men. The coaches will give Tomáš Mikysk, who is returning after knee surgery, an opportunity. “However, it is not certain that he will be able to complete the entire racing program, and Michal Krčmář also had health problems. Therefore, we are considering the nomination of a sixth man after the IBU Cup races in Arber, Germany. We want to be ready if necessary,” explained sports director Ondřej Rybář.
