On Saturday, shortly before seven o’clock in the evening, police officers went to Davle based on a report received from line 112, where a car collided with a pedestrian.
According to initial investigations and witness statements, a 71-year-old man who was walking on the sidewalk should have “staggered” and fallen onto a passing car driven by a 65-year-old woman.
On the spot, the injured man was immediately helped by passers-by who tried to resuscitate him, then professional medical personnel continued the resuscitation. Unfortunately, the man’s vital functions could not be restored and he died on the spot.
How the tragic accident happened, what were its circumstances and what was the degree of culpability of the individual participants in the accident will be investigated by police officers from the criminal police service and the investigation of the Regional Department of Prague Rural South. They also ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of the senior’s death.
Traffic police officers, who documented the accident, conducted an indicative breath test for alcohol on the driver of the passenger car – the result was negative.
