Dozens of cultural monuments and organizations in the Hradec Králové region are always free on the first Wednesday of the month. Trutnov also recently joined this regional initiative.

From this month, the cultural contribution organizations of the city of Trutnov will join the initiative of the Hradec Králové region and will open every first Wednesday of the month without the right to an entrance fee.

The Podkrkonoší Museum in Trutnov, the Trutnov City Gallery and the UFFO Gallery, these three organizations established by the city of Trutnov, welcome visitors every first Wednesday of the month for free. The goal is to make exhibitions and experiences accessible to the general public. For the first time, admission will not be collected on Wednesday, April 3. “I believe it is right to make art and history accessible to anyone who is interested in them. In Trutnov, we have a very good experience with the event Statues in the Streets, which attracts a lot of attention every year. Opening galleries and museums for free, even if only once a month, is a logical next step. The entrance fee to the exhibition spaces in Trutnov is available to everyone, but if a large family visits the exhibition, the savings can already mean something to them.” explains Michal Rosa, mayor of the city of Trutnov.
