The road between Pilsen and Karlovy Vary was closed at the Robin Oil gas station near Příšov
At exactly noon today, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the road between Pilsen and Karlovy Vary near the Robin Oil gas station near Příšov, during which two passenger vehicles collided. It was reported that several people were injured and wedged at the scene, so not only all the ground rescue services went to the traffic accident, but also the helicopter of the air rescue service from the airport in Línich took off.
Firefighters secured the scene of the accident, carried out fire prevention measures and freed two people, who handed them over to rescuers. They then transported one person to the Plzeň Lochotín University Hospital by air and the other by land.
Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of everyone on the scene, one man could no longer be helped due to his serious injuries, and the doctor had to pronounce him dead. The doctor of the emergency service was replaced by the coroner.
The road was closed for about an hour, then a shuttle was released to traffic.
Criminal investigators have taken over the investigation of the traffic accident on the spot, we are waiting for their report and will add information afterwards.
