“He crossed into the opposite direction, where he collided with a truck. The motorcycle was thrown by the impact and subsequently collided with a passenger vehicle,” stated the spokeswoman, adding that both vehicles were driving towards Ostrava.

“During the accident, the motorcycle driver sustained injuries and died on the spot. The breath tests performed on the drivers of both vehicles were negative,” said Štětínská.

The police officers carried out photographic and topographical documentation on the spot, ascertaining related information. “Ostrava criminal investigators are dealing with the incident and all the circumstances of this crash,” said the spokeswoman, adding that liquidation work was also underway at the site.

The I/11 road was also impassable in both directions due to the accident until 1:00 p.m. Police officers directed drivers to detour routes. In the direction of Ostrava, they were led through Bartovice and Radvanice, a bypass route led to Havířov via Vratimov.
