Motorcyclist accident in Ostrava! He collided with a truck, died on the spot

Despite the maximum help of rescuers, he succumbed to his injuries. Unfortunately, this is how Sunday’s tragic accident of a motorcyclist in Ostrava ended. He collided with a truck and then with a car.

The tragic accident happened on Sunday morning in the busy Rudná street in Ostrava, which was closed until 1 pm due to the accident. “According to the information so far, the motorcyclist was supposed to drive along Rudné Street in the direction of Havířov. For unknown reasons, he crossed in the opposite direction,” said Soňa Štětínská, spokesperson for the Ostrava police.

In the opposite direction, the motorcyclist collided with a truck that was traveling towards Ostrava. Such an unequal fight could hardly turn out well. “The motorcycle was thrown by the impact and subsequently collided with a passenger vehicle,” said Štětínská.

That it was a big blow is also proven by the condition of the blue Škoda Octavia, on which the motorcyclist fell after colliding with the truck. A dented hood and a broken windshield can be seen. The motorcyclist suffered very serious injuries, from which he died on the spot despite the intensive help of rescuers.

Firefighters from Ostrava also intervened on the scene. “After arriving at the event, the firemen secured the scene of the accident, vehicles against fire and built an emergency screen. After investigating the accident, they cleaned up and restored the road, which was impassable for the entire duration of the intervention,” the firemen said.

The police are investigating the exact causes of the accident, whether, for example, the motorcyclist lost control of the machine. What is certain is that the breath tests for alcohol on both vehicle drivers were negative.
