Bow, arrows, target. As they say. Hard on the training ground, easy on the battlefield. It just doesn’t hurt to be prepared for every situation. The Regional Senior Sports Games will be held in Most on May 18, in which our three SPCCH Teplice teams will participate. 6 seniors will compete in each team. There will be many sports disciplines, but archery will take place for the first time.

Being like Robin Hood is not easy. It’s not about taking from the rich and giving to the poor, that was then, it somehow doesn’t work today. It’s about having a steady arm, a sharp eye and a sense of humor. So the Castle Garden in Teplice was used for training on Sunday afternoon.

It wasn’t easy. Almost all athletes have never held a bow or arrow. And yet, after an hour of trying, it started to work. The arrow “kissed” the center of the target several times. But he also dug into the grass a few times.

After two hours, the points of 21 shooters began to be added up and the best were rewarded with porcelain medals decorated with wooden beads. The biggest medal with the inscription Robin Hood then landed on the chest of absolute winner Mirko Škeřík. Mirek Kalabza, the chairman of the basic organization, was the first to congratulate him. The curious squirrel was hiding behind a tree the whole time, rolling his eyes full of questions. Fortunately, no one hit her, so she can look forward to the next training of our seniors. As already said. Hard on the training ground, easy on the battlefield.
