Vlek presented President Pavlov with a document that is the future of Czech healthcare. The new concept can pave the way for prevention and implement tools to motivate healthy drinking. I informed Mr. President about my strategy, shared Vlek on Tuesday at a meeting in Prague Castle.

Vlek thus appealed to the opposition that women, research, and especially healthcare must not be the subject of a political struggle. According to Vlek, the President also asked about the TOP 09 decision regarding the nomination of Pavel Tuleja for Minister of Science and Research. Vlek said that he is not allowed to comment on whether Tuleja will meet with the president this week, but Petr Pavel is ready to appoint him on Monday.

According to Prime Minister Petar Fiala (ODS), it is necessary to adapt to the shrinking of the population, and the path to prevention should help. So, according to him, it is not a good idea to open a debate about public payments.

Those who think that all the problems in the health care industry are solved by pouring pensions into it, said the prime minister in April at an event organized by the Health Care Association. According to him, you should focus on the long-term stability of the healthcare system, its adaptation to demographic development and technological progress. Minister of Health Vlek added that public health expenditure has not doubled since 2010, but at the same time its availability and quality have not grown adequately, production has, on the contrary, decreased.
