However, don’t expect this custom at the upcoming World Hockey Championships in Prague and Ostrava. However, there will be no World Cup without musical accompaniment. A hit from the singer Lenny will take care of him. However, you can also remember the official songs and anthems from some past championships with us. And choose the one you liked the most.

“In the past, it was mostly customary that championship has a hymn or song. But today it is very difficult to compose and sing a song that is catchy, will be played on the radio and will become a hit. We didn’t want to work only on a song that will only be part of the championship, because it’s a custom and it has to be. We wanted to connect an artist and a song that the fans know and can sing along with the championship,” said the president of the Prague organizing committee, Petr Bříza.

The organizers therefore agreed to cooperate with Lenny. “We are happy that we received favorable feedback and that she lent us her hit, which is not only Czech, but also popular on the European charts. It has the potential that when we play it in arenas, everyone will know the song and will perceive it,” said Bříza.
For the last world championship in the Czech Republic in 2015, the band Kabát composed the official song “Brousíme nože”.
