In addition, the event will be very special in that it will be broadcast by Czech Television, thanks to which MMA could reach a new target group for the first time, which could then benefit the entire domestic scene. There is even speculation about the participation of President Pavel.

For many people, veterans are those who fought in the Second World War, but the Czech army is constantly active all over the world. They fight there for us, not because someone sent them to burn their fingers for others. They put their lives on the line to defend Europe and the peace we still have here. Veterans have either fallen or sacrificed their health for our country. I believe that something needs to be done for them and their families. The Fighters for Veterans event could provide them with some money and also remind the public.”
“Given the fact that there will be a lot of important people there, whether from the army, the ministry or ambassadors, and overall the project is very well received, which is also very interesting for Czech Television. At the same time, we also have it in quotes as a social event, where people will not go to the table in sweatpants and a sweatshirt,” added David Dvořák, one of the tournament participants, for Sport.cz. There is even speculation that the retired army general and now president Petr Pavel, who is of course very close to the event, could also arrive at the event.

We’ve done some races a few times, but it can’t be compared to this. We have a huge responsibility here, and we go to the market with our skin. And even if we make some mistakes, we’re doing a charity gala that’s only meant to help, and nobody gets anything out of it.
