Reichel went overseas in 2017, after a season in the junior competition, he was an undrafted player in the lower AHL. He subsequently signed a contract with Winnipeg, which he extended two years ago. In the NHL, the Litvín native played a total of 15 games, scored a goal and added two assists. In the AHL, Reichel played for the Manitoba Moose team, including the playoffs, for 286 games with a balance of 57 goals and 61 assists.

“He is a team player who always works hard. He can play in all situations and is another right-handed player who can play both centrally and on the wing. The experience he’s gained in Europe and North America will serve us well,” coach and manager Dallas Eakins said.

Reichel also has German citizenship, so he will not be considered a foreigner in the competition. “I am looking forward to the new engagement. Going back to Europe will be a change. I want to build on last season in Canada and I will do everything to make the team successful,” said Reichel, who collected 42 points in 70 games in the regular season in the last year of the AHL.
