A wave of emotional comments on social networks was sparked by a video of a weekend accident on the D1 near Bohumín, where a truck at high speed crashed into a car standing behind a tractor transporting a historic tank. The driver of the car did not survive the collision. The police subsequently accused the Lithuanian truck driver of being responsible for the collision, who, according to them, was not driving. The Internet is buzzing with words about the “crazy” and “unbelievable” situation. You can see footage of the collision in the article below.
The posted video shows a lorry with a loaded tank behind which is a red passenger car. Subsequently, a blue tractor carrying other passenger cars rushes in the right lane and crashes into the stationary vehicle at high speed. The red car ends up scrapped under the semi-trailer, other transported cars fly through the air. In addition to the driver of the car who was killed, the accident left two other people injured.

Whenever I’m standing somewhere in a column, I look behind me and there’s a gap in front of me in order to drive or dodge.”
The police charged the truck driver
“Criminal officers from Karviná charged the truck driver with the crimes of negligent homicide and negligent grievous bodily harm. Currently, procedural actions are still ongoing. In case of conviction, the accused faces up to six years in prison,” said Eva Michalíková, the spokeswoman for the Moravian-Silesian police.

Earlier, the police said that the driver of the truck with a load of several passenger cars was probably not driving. They found no stopping distance. They believe that the Lithuanian had no idea that a tractor with a historical tank stopped in front of him in the right lane, and behind it a personal accompanying vehicle with the owners of the tank.
The tractor with the tank was heading for a demonstration military action near Bohumín. He stopped on the highway because he wanted to get off it to the military fortification where the parade was taking place. He was waiting for the barrier to go up at the highway exit.
The 75-year-old driver of the passenger car died in the subsequent accident. His 24-year-old passenger and the truck driver suffered leg injuries.
