Truck accident on the Prague Ring Road (D0) at 1.8. km. in the direction of D5 paralyzed traffic. Police are on the scene together with paramedics and firefighters. The driver had to be extricated from the car.

The accident happened on Tuesday, May 7 in the morning. All units of the integrated rescue system immediately went to the scene, including firefighters from the Central Bohemian Region.

According to information from the Prague police, the truck is lying on its side and the driver had to be extricated. “The truck crashed into the center guardrails, which it broke through and ended up on its side,” confirmed the Central Bohemian fire department.

The wedged driver suffered pelvic and abdominal injuries but is breathing. “Paramedics treated the patient and are taking him to the Motol Hospital,” Monika Nováková, spokeswoman for Central Bohemian rescuers, told Deník.

Traffic is restricted in the area and only the parking lane is open in both directions. However, columns can form. According to the server monitoring the traffic situation, restrictions can be expected until the afternoon.
