Hyundai Tucson after the facelift has Czech prices. It returns diesel under the hood and expands the equipment

After the modernization, the Tucson retains a diverse range of engines, in which there are conventional gasoline and diesel units, but also a total of three types of hybrid systems.

Hyundai showed us the modernization of the popular Tucson SUV in more detail about a month ago, and now the brand’s Czech representative office is also publishing updated prices. The use of 1.6 liter units in various configurations remains. The gasoline four-cylinder T-GDi now offers a starting 118 kW (160 hp), also in mild-hybrid form. At the same time, the basic diesel 1.6 CRDi (85 kW/115 hp) returns to the offer, producing 100 kW (136 hp) in the case of the mild-hybrid.

With a classic 1.6 T-GDi engine (118 kW/160 hp), a six-speed manual transmission and the lowest Comfort trim, the improved Tucson starts at a special price of CZK 649,990. However, after the modernization, Hyundai further expands the standard equipment of the SUV, so that it now also offers Bi-LED reflector headlights, front and rear parking sensors with a rear camera, keyless entry or navigation with a 12.3-inch touchscreen.

In the case of choosing the aforementioned 1.6 CRDi diesel (85 kW/115 hp) with a six-speed manual transmission, the Tucson starts from CZK 769,990, in the second level of Smart equipment, which also provides two-zone automatic air conditioning, wireless phone charging, active blind spot monitoring or warning of passing vehicles when backing up. The higher Style level will add, for example, heated front seats and a steering wheel, while the Premium will also offer matrix-LED headlights.

The Tucson also has the sportier-looking N Line and N Line Style equipment, which can be further expanded with the Luxury or Premium packages (both CZK 70,000), which also come with a head-up display, ventilated front seats or a 360° camera system.

Mild-hybrids can still be combined with all-wheel drive or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, generally representing a higher price of CZK 50,000 or CZK 70,000.

Full-hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines are then available from the second trim level smart – the full-hybrid 1.6 T-GDI HEV (158 kW/215 hp) starts with front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic from CZK 869,990, while the plug- in hybrid 1.6 T-GDI PHEV (185 kW/252 hp) starts for the first time with front-wheel drive from CZK 999,990. In both cases, however, all-wheel drive can of course be selected.
