Apple devoted its May keynote entirely to iPads. The main novelty was the Pro models, but the Air series saw major changes. Overall, Apple has finally unified and clarified its offer a bit. Let’s summarize some points of interest that Apple did not emphasize too much at the keynote and also compare the Air and Pro models themselves.

Important details that may not have been apparent from the Apple Keynote:
- iPad Pro lost the secondary ultra-wide camera after years, now they only have 1 main camera and Lidar. But the lightning has improved
- iPad Air and Pro are not compatible with the older Apple Pencil 2nd generation
- The new iPad Pros start with double the storage, i.e. 256 GB
- the front camera of all iPads Air and Pro has moved from the shorter side to the longer side for better use in landscape mode
- iPad Pro has lost one microphone, instead of 5, they now only have 4
- iPad Pro with 256 and 512 GB memory have 8 GB RAM, higher capacities 16 GB RAM
- the maximum brightness of the iPad Pro is the same as before (1000 nits in HDR, up to 1600 nits in spots), however, thanks to the Tandem OLED panel, it can maintain a higher brightness of 1000 nits on the entire surface even with SDR content
