Some mobile operators in the Czech Republic have proceeded to increase the price of their network services. For example, O2 already has a few days reinforced and also slightly more expensive fixed internet connection, it has also raised the prices of its O2 TV. Rival T-Mobile has now announced to business customers that will make the complete range of mobile services more expensive including national and international calls, SMS, MMS, roaming and data connection. The official reason is the value of inflation and the increased price of electricity.

“For most of this year, we managed to eliminate the negative effects of the increase in energy prices thanks to the timely purchase of electricity on the stock exchange. According to the current development of the purchase of energy for the next year, we its price will increase up to tenfold compared to this year. We bear a large part of the cost, but unfortunately we have to make this extreme increase also be taken into account in the final prices of our corporate customers,” Zuzana Netolická from the press department of operator T-Mobile told Lupa.cz.

They have overall prices jump 10.7%, while the costs associated with the purchase of IT services and equipment and the construction of infrastructure increased by at least a double value according to the operator. There is apparently no increase in price for ordinary end customers yet.
