You may not know her from the TV screens, but you definitely know her from her voice. Her most notable work was dubbing Phoebe Buffet in the cult series Friends. Stanislava Jachnická was a guest of the First League Thinking.
As a child, she attended ballet at the Folk Art School, from where she continued to the University Art Ensemble. Thanks to this, she discovered that she would also enjoy acting. “I enjoyed the training, but during the performance I experienced a feeling of enthusiasm, excitement from the fact that someone was looking at me. I have to put on my makeup, I have a dressing room, I’m on stage. The whole atmosphere around it,” Jachnická describes his motives for acting. After studying at DAMU, she started acting and dubbing.
Czech dubbing has a tradition and ranks among the best in the world. Is this still true? “Development in this sector went forward, but rather with low-quality results. The production of films and series is rich today and is not catching up. But there are still directors who do their craft honestly.” The work is not only about wooing, but also about finding the character. However, it also happens to professionals that the audio work is returned to them for repair.
In the interview you can also hear about the first acting experience. How old was Stanislava Jachnicka, and what were her feelings?
Guest coach, mentor and global strategist Jan Mühlfeit about his path to success.
