In the first home match of the European Conference League, Slavia welcomed the Kosovar Ballkani on their field. The seamers went into the match as clear favorites with the vision of getting an easy three points. However, the team that drew with Cluj in the last match soon showed that they will not sell their skin cheaply.

The match started with Slavia trying to show themselves in front of the home fans, Eden could burst with joy in the fifth minute. However, Ivan Schranz’s header only hit the crossbar.

The visitors were the first to celebrate the goal. In the twenty-third minute, Ermal Krasniqi appeared in front of the empty goal of the stitchers, who sent his team into a sensational 1-0 lead.

However, Slavia did not receive such a surprise. Immediately after the goal, the home team went on the attack, but Provod’s shot was blocked. However, Slavia kept pushing forward.

David Jurásek led an unobtrusive action and reached the opponent’s goal with the ball, where he surprised the goalkeeper Stivi Frashëri from an angle, who knocked the ball behind his back.

However, the draw did not even last three minutes, and Slavia made a big mistake in their play, which the guests took advantage of without hesitation. Meriton Korenica received the ball and with a beautiful shot under the crossbar Ballkani took the lead 2:1.

However, the home team could not afford to lose to such a team and rushed forward again. It paid off, Peter Olayinka hit the ball into the net after Masopust’s pass. A beautiful shot to the crossbar equalized at 2:2.

Before the end of the first half, the fifth goal of the match was scored. Stitching took the lead for the first time when Lukáš Masopust fired after Olayinka’s pass. His shot was touched by an opponent and happily beat the goalkeeper.

A very wild first half ended 3:2 for Slavia. The guests twice took advantage of the hesitation and took the lead, but the favorite of the match did not want to allow surprises. In the second half, the home team did not want to allow themselves any more hesitation.

They pushed forward right from the start and could have increased their lead. However, he narrowly missed Olayinka in a big opportunity. There were not many chances in the second half.

The excitement of the crowd came when Egzon Sinani fouled Schranz, who was injured and had to be substituted. The culprit received a yellow warning. After a while, however, there was another cruel foul. Astrit Thaqi made a nasty run into the ball and earned himself a red card.

Ten Balkani players could no longer count on further success. In the beginning, they were able to trouble Slavia, but Slavia gradually dominated the match. Although the match ended 3-2, the home side were the better team and deservedly take the three points. However, the guests showed that they can surprise anyone.
