The incident happened in the eighth grade, where two boys between the ages of 12 and 15 pulled a firearm on the teacher in front of other schoolchildren.
“The teacher was allegedly threatened by two students in the classroom. One of them is said to be armed with a pistol,” wrote Bild. He added that police officers with automatic weapons are patrolling the area around the building. Meanwhile, other police officers were searching for the suspicious pair inside.
According to the police, the two suspects managed to flee the school in an “unknown direction” around 1 p.m. No one was reportedly injured in the incident.
Extensive traffic restrictions were in place in the Blankenese district where the intervention took place. From the available photos, it can be seen that the policemen gradually took the pupils out of the school grounds and transported them to the nearby barracks. Parents can pick them up there.
In the afternoon, the police continued their investigation, including the questioning of witnesses, including a female teacher who was threatened by the pair with a gun.
