The footage, which many aviation fans are calling the wildest landing they’ve ever seen, comes from YouTube channel Airline Videos, which was streaming the action live at the Los Angeles airport shortly after noon local time on Tuesday.
A Boeing 747-8i in the colors of Lufthansa, which arrived from Frankfurt, Germany, is about to land on them. It will already descend very low, and with its rear landing gear it will even land quite hard on the runway, and it will also jump on it.
But immediately he rises again to perform the so-called “go around” maneuver. That is, to circle the airport and then land again and better. The second attempt to land then went completely standard.
