We can only speculate whether it was an intention to attract attention or a mistake on the part of the exhibitors. According to the descriptions on the cover boxes, it is clear that Apple will show four new iPhones with the number 14 this year.
But the difference will be against the apple models with the number 13 in the name in their size. The new products will be called iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The Plus and Pro Max versions will have a 6.7-inch display, the other two models will have a 6.1-inch display.
Last year’s thirteens were offered in three different sizes. The smallest of the litter was the iPhone 13 mini with a 5.4-inch screen. The iPhone 13 and 13Pro models both had a 6.1-inch touch panel, while only the iPhone 13 Pro Max had a 6.7-inch display.
This year, we will probably not see the smallest iPhone.
The covers on display at the IFA trade show also revealed more information about the upcoming phones. For example, the 14s will have the same design as the 13s, i.e. sharply cut sides and rounded corners. The new covers are identically designed for iPhones 13 and 14, so the proportions of the phones will not change in any way.
Support for MagSafe wireless charging should also stay with the new phones, as salmon skin covers support this technology.
It should be clear about all the advantages of the new iPhones this week on Wednesday evening CET. Apple representatives have not officially confirmed that they will reveal the next generation of Apple phones at the event, but last year the new iPhones were also shown at a press conference held in September.
Will the iPhone 14 show up? Apple will reveal the news right from the beginning of September
Covers with an emphasis on ecology
The Icelandic brand Njord by Elements is a newcomer to the domestic market, specializing in the production of protective covers and other accessories for Apple electronics. At the same time, it relies on sustainable production and a zero carbon footprint.
In the past, the manufacturer focused exclusively on accessories made from salmon skin, which was obtained ecologically from industrial fish farming. The new models also boast of this exotic-looking material, but in addition, they use re-use textiles and recycled velor artificial leather. The material of the plastic frame has also been improved, which is now 100% recycled.

The new models of the covers that were exhibited at the IFA trade fair for the iPhone 14 are 30% thinner compared to their predecessors, but still meet the military MIL resistance standard. STD. 810H. Thanks to this, they should protect the phone even when dropped from a height of up to two meters.
We will probably learn more about the price and availability of the covers only after the official presentation of the new Apple smartphones.
