Thanks to the financial incentives for the purchase of an electric car, which is newly offered by the state, it is possible to treat yourself to a Tesla for an amount below the magical threshold of one million crowns. We also looked at other electric models that can be purchased from us with incentives at an interesting price. We focused on the category of small electric cars suitable for city streets as well as medium-sized models or larger SUVs. The selection includes cars in basic configurations and equipment packages, while for many of them there is still a sufficient reserve of up to one million for possible additional sugaring.
Companies, entrepreneurs and self-employed persons can apply for state incentives for the purchase of an electric car, in the case of a passenger car in the M1 category, and it is good to know the criteria associated with the application and financing of the purchase. “The support is provided in the form of a portfolio bank guarantee for a commercial loan from a leasing company or a commercial bank in combination with a financial contribution (subsidy component).” reminds Michal Teubner, spokesman for Komerční banka. We have detailed more details about getting a subsidy in our recent article.
If you can and are determined to draw subsidies, then all that remains is to calculate what the final price of a particular car will be. Instructions on how to do this are provided by Jaroslav Kumbera, director of car financing at Raiffeisen – Leasing.
“The rule always applies that the sum of the loan and subsidy cannot exceed one hundred percent of the eligible expenses, i.e. the purchase price of the car without VAT. In order to receive a maximum subsidy of 200,000 crowns per vehicle of category M1, with a minimum loan amount of 300,000 crowns, the purchase price of the car must be at least 500,000 crowns without VAT.” explains Kumbera, saying that if the purchase price was less than half a million without VAT, a subsidy can be obtained at a maximum amount corresponding to the purchase price without VAT reduced by the loan provided. Based on this rule, the subsidy can be obtained in full for basically all new electric cars that are offered on the market here.

Finally, let’s add a few more models, the price of which, after deducting subsidies, is just above the one million crown mark.
