“It was a photograph with a description of the places where, as she stated, she saw something that resembled a human skull,” Tereza Schliková from the press department of the Pilsen city police told Novinkám.
“A patrol went to the spot, which was accurately identified to within centimeters using the Security Portal, and confirmed that it could be a human skull. She was lying a few centimeters under water in a muddy deposit at the edge of the Radbuza river, under the wall of the Denisova embankment. The state police were then called to the scene and took over the whole matter,” explained Schliková.

The police then fished out the skull. “We are investigating the discovery of human remains that were found in the Radbuze River near Denisova nábreží,” police spokeswoman Eva Červenková told Novinká on Saturday morning.
“We are investigating all the circumstances of this event, and the Pilsen criminal investigators are dealing with the entire case,” added Červenková. Police divers also combed the river in the affected area.

Last January, the remains of a murdered homeless man were floating in Berun on the outskirts of the city. The body was discovered without the head and genitalia. Because of this, the police are investigating a 42-year-old recidivist, who was sent to custody by the court at the beginning of March. It is not yet clear whether the discovery of the skull may be related to this case.
