Black Forest ham and a mix of freshly grated mature cheeses. A pair of products that were offered by two different Brno business chains, but at first glance they were moldy. Nevertheless, they were lying on the shelves.

Both cases were pointed out by the Potraviny na pnýři website operated by the State Agricultural and Food Inspection, stating that they were irregularities detected during February and December inspections. “On part of the package, we found the presence of mold visible to the naked eye. Food is not considered safe if it shows signs of spoilage. We did not detect any inappropriate storage temperatures for this product and the food did not have an expiration date,” the website points out in both cases.

The problematic products were BILLA Schwarzwälder Schinken offered by the Billa supermarket in Kounicová street in Brno, where you could buy it in February.

The second, even in two different cases, was a mix of freshly grated mature cheeses from the Italian manufacturer Brazzale, offered in the Globus hypermarket in Hradecká Street, Brno. You could buy it there at the end of last year.
