The lane for cyclists has the brand code V 14 and its definition according to the Bezpecnecesty.cz portal is as follows: It indicates a lane or path for cyclists. The arrow also indicates the specified direction of travel. The arrow and the bicycle symbol are made in white. A lane or trail can also be marked with a different colored surface, for example red or a different surface design.
The pictogram corridor for cyclists is marked as V 20 and means: It indicates the area and direction of travel of cyclists and warns drivers of motor vehicles that it is located on a road with increased cyclist traffic.
The practical difference will then be explained to us by expert Pavel Greiner from the King Driving School. “The cycle lane (V 14) is usually painted where a cycle lane and a car lane fit next to each other. If the car driver could not fit into his lane by accident, he can also use the lane for cyclists, but he must not endanger the cyclist riding in it.”

“The corridor for cyclists (V 20), on the other hand, is usually painted where a car and a cyclist cannot fit next to each other (not a dogma). This corridor informs cyclists where they should stay, but cars are also allowed to drive in it. In the corridor for cyclists, no general rules related to the corridor apply, perhaps apart from consideration.”
Attention, if the cyclist is exiting the cycle lane (V 14) into the corridor (V 20), where the road narrows, always look in the right rear-view mirror in such a place, because the cyclist has the right of way in such a case, but he must not endanger you.
