Do you know RAM Rampage? The four-cylinder comes in a special Night Edition version

--

A new special edition RAM Rampage utility pickup goes on sale in Brazil. It is completely black and only has a two-liter four-cylinder Hurricane.

The new RAM Rampage utility pick-up went on sale in South America last summer, and although it bears the features of its full-bodied North American brother, it is a significantly smaller model. With the company’s Small Wide 4×4 LWB chassis platform, it is also a sibling of the Jeep Renegade compact SUV, it is produced in Brazil and sold exclusively in the Brazilian and Argentine markets. And today it is presented there in the first special edition.

Called the RAM Rampage Night Edition, it features dark colors and is inspired by the more grown-up RAM 1500 Night Edition pickup for North America. The novelty is based on the standard Laramie equipment package and replaces all chrome surfaces with glossy black. They are the radiator grille, headlight surrounds, mirrors, window frames, rear bumper, exhaust tips and 18″ wheels.

Black is even the color of the leather in the cabin, which the automaker replaces with the original Mountain Brown upholstery. The model’s standard equipment is a 10.3″ digital instrument panel, 12.3″ touchscreen infotainment, dual-zone climate control, a wireless mobile phone charger or a package of ADAS assistance systems with adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring. Optional equipment is Harman Kardon audio with 10 speakers or LED ambient lighting.

The RAM Rampage Night Edition comes standard with a turbocharged 200 kW (272 hp) 400 Nm 2.0-liter Hurricane gasoline four-cylinder. The only transmission available is a nine-speed automatic from ZF, and the car’s standard 4×4 Auto all-wheel drive. In addition to the special edition, the RAM Rampage is also available with a 130 kW (170 hp) two-liter four-cylinder Multijet II turbodiesel, but it will not be installed in the Night Edition variant.

The more exclusive RAM Rampage Night Edition will be sold exclusively in Brazil with a base price starting at around 1.27 million crowns. The special edition is therefore almost 70,000 crowns more expensive than the basic equipment level of the Laramie.
