This is probably not even true anymore. Retail chains in the Czech Republic still haven’t learned their lesson and keep repeating the same mistake. If it would work for them, let them do it. But they clearly endanger their customers with their actions. They are apparently completely stolen from them, because it is simply impossible to do something like that repeatedly.

What are we talking about? One of the big business chains brought here again a large amount of meat from Ukraine. It is known to be problematic, although you can certainly find trouble-free suppliers who will deliver quality goods. However, this is not the case with WE Trade s.r.o., which has failed repeatedly. It is almost certain that when chicken meat from this company appears in stores, there will be a problem with it.
And yes, too. The Makro chain took meat from this supplier and it didn’t take long for it to go bad. As reported by the State Agricultural and Food Inspection, the meat is contaminated with salmonella. For exactly these reasons, meat from the WE Trade company is withdrawn from the market repeatedly. At least seven cases have been reported with this supplier, which is no longer a coincidence. You don’t even want to imagine how much rotten meat this company brought here without anyone noticing. SZPI, of course, cannot control everything.
“This is seriously not normal. But I am already very careful about the meat I buy and always check the origin. I would never buy from the company you mention again.” says Mrs. Romana from Prague. But here is the problem. Although people often already check their purchases, if such food reaches Makro, it means that restaurateurs will also buy it. And they prepare food from it in their businesses.

In this case, it was specifically whole boneless chicken thighs, deep frozen. Given that, the warning is still valid as they have a minimum shelf life of 14 January 2025. So if you bought something like this at Makro and you have it in the freezer, you’d better check it. The batch number is 24031102, but a reasonable consumer should not consume anything from the mentioned company.

It is safe to say that large retail chains do not pay attention to even something as basic as the experience with a certain supplier. If he fails several times, in short, the goods should no longer be taken from him. But Makro and others continue to do so. Apparently they buy at such unbeatable prices that it pays to continue to threaten customers.
