iPhone sales are falling in most markets. The company’s revenue fell four percent to $91 billion, while smartphone sales fell by more than a tenth.

“They’ve been doing well in recent years, but now they’re struggling. This quarter could see a further decline in sales. Sales are expected to fall by about five percent,” writes Peter Ellstrom in an analysis for the Bloomberg agency. Apple faces strong competition, especially from China, but also slow economic growth.

Apple now promises a lot from the implementation of artificial intelligence. His Claude – OpenAI’s answer to the popular chatbot – will be accessible on iPhones.

“After the meeting, the user can take a picture of the whiteboard diagram and ask Claude to summarize the key points, making it easy to share and act on important information. Similarly, a consumer can take a photo of a plant they encounter on a trip and ask Claude to identify the species and provide additional information about its characteristics and habitat,” Scott White of Anthropic described the feature to The Guardian.
