Warner TV will be part of free-to-air TV and the program will be partly themed: Tuesdays will belong to science fiction (eg Westworld or Beetlejuice), Fridays to movie hits (The Color Purple, Madison Bridges, A Star is Born) and Sundays to superhero stories (in April and May respectively Batman and Superman).
On Tuesday, April 2, Stanley Kubrick’s sci-fi classic 2001: A Space Odyssey will open the evening broadcast, followed by Blade Runner. Series production will be represented in the afternoon by Super Gossip or Smallville, and in the evening by The Cleaner and Roswell: New Mexico.
Together with the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the Max platform will also be launched at the end of May in other countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the countries of the Iberian Peninsula. The launch in France, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium is to follow soon after.
The streaming service, without the established HBO brand in its name, has been operating in the US and Latin America since May of last year, and in addition to existing HBO Max content, it also offers reality shows and documentaries from Discovery and live sports broadcasts from Eurosport.
